Our History

The family-run Mousset group has been growing steadily for 50 years. To date, the company has turned over more than EUR 105 million and has 1150 employees, of which 950 are drivers. With 70% of the market, it is France’s number one transporter of live poultry (2 million live poultry transported every day). The group has about 60 sites operating in France, as well as several in Poland and Morocco. It has become the benchmark for town centre transport, delivery and handling and customised logistics. The Mousset Group is preparing for the future by improving its performance in France and by accelerating its development internationally.

Les grandes dates

In the beginning

At 34, Michel Mousset bought his first dump truck and created his trucking company in Sainte-Florence, Vendée. He received support from his wife Anne-Marie. That same year, the company bought its second truck and employed its first driver.

1964

Succession

Jean-Michel Mousset took over the company from his father. 1234 Under his leadership, for 20 years, the company never stopped growing, from 27 to855 employees.

1984

A well-known brand in the French transportation market

Jean-Michel Mousset founded the subsidiary AVILOG for transporting live poultry. 20 years later, the small company has emerged as the leading transporter of live poultry in France. Today, the farmyard represents more than half of the company's turnover.

1988

Carrier of the Year

The Mousset Group is voted Carrier of the Year. It also receives the Etoile de la PME Transport award in 1995 and a Camion d'Or de la sécurité award in 1992, 1996 and 2002.

2000

Leadership: international

The Mousset Group first established itself in Poland and then in Morocco. It deploys the know-how and techniques acquired from long experience in the farmyard: an essential knowledge of the environment in these countries where the poultry and dairy industries are developing.

2010 - 2012

Today

The Mousset Group celebrates 50 years. Frédéric Leblanc becomes COO of the company and succeeds Jean-Michel Mousset. The Mousset family remains the main shareholder of the group to ensure its independence and anticipate the future

2014

Transports VIAL

The Transports VIAL located in Saint Amé (88) join PINEAU transport and reinforce the development of the group's industrial activities.
